What is PBC (Powered By Cardboard)?

Powered By Cardboard is a group founded by TCG vendors, dedicated to producing the best quality of collectibles and trading shows, everywhere it goes. Our board of directors have collectively produced hundreds of public events.

What time does the event start/end?

Doors open for General Admission at 11:00am.

VIP guests will be admitted one hour early at 10:00am.

The event will end at 5:00pm.

We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to check in and receive your admission wristband.

Where do I park? How much is it to park?

The Grapevine Convention Center has a large parking lot that is free to park in. There are also free city-owned parking lots in the vicinity. We don't anticipate any parking struggles.

What are the benefits to buying an Ultra Trainer pass/ticket?

Admission one hour early to the event where only Ultra Trainers will have exclusive time to be able to shop.

A limited edition Cardboard Cove Ultra Trainer Pass.

A goody bag loaded with trading card supplies, promotions from featured vendors, and one randomly inserted "Professor Oak" trading card.

What are the teams, and how do they work? How do teams earn points?

Each ticket holder will pick Red, Blue, or Green team to join and get a corresponding colored wristband. Throughout the day, there will be ways you can earn points for your team. The team with the most points at the end of the show will get an EXTRA giveaway for just their team - a Destined Rivals Pokemon Center E.T.B.

The QR Code Adventure will challenge guests to walk the convention center completing different tasks. Each task completed earn points for your team, some more than others.

​

The Pokemon Stadium tournament will pin 6 trainers against each other through Pokemon Stadium on the Nintendo 64, using Pokemon Red, Yellow, & Blue cartridges to load random mystery teams of pokemon. Winners will receive points for their team.

Check In on Instagram... Use #RED, #BLUE, or #GREEN to rep your team and post it on Instagram! Make sure you tag & follow @CardboardCoveShow so we can see it!

At least one other unannounced game will also take place on the Indigo stage for earning points!

How much do special guests charge for autographs and pictures?

Each special guest are their own vendor and exhibitor. All prices are set by each individual guest and are not typically disclosed in advance. Many guests have a wide variety of meet and greet packages, autographs, and merchandise for sale that fit all budgets. Attending Q&A panels is always included with your admission.

Do I have to buy a ticket for my child?

Children who are 9 and under do not require a ticket, as long as they are attending with an adult (who has a ticket). Children who are 10 years old and over require a ticket to be admitted.

Will there be food/drink available?

Yes, the Convention Center will have concessions open from approximately 11:00am to 2:00pm.

I have a special need. Are you able to accommodate?

While we can't guarantee every request be fulfilled, we will do our best to accommodate any guests that may require special assistance in order to attend Cardboard Cove. The best way to help us help you, is to contact us with plenty of notice, at PoweredByCardboard@gmail.com.
